COVID 19 | Dubai Metro and Tram services suspended Disinfection 24 hours a day


DUBAI: Dubai has taken stringent measures similar to a lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The restrictions came into effect for two weeks. Dubai Metro and Tram have been suspended for an indefinite period.No one should come out in the daytime except for what is essential. The prohibition does not apply to essential services, including supermarkets and pharmacies. But only one person has to be released to buy food or medicines from a family.

Currently, public transport is banned from 8 pm to 6 am due to disinfection. Disinfection will continue 24 hours a day for the next two weeks. The Empowered Committee has warned that strict action will be taken against those who violate the regulations.

  • Services including waste collection
  • Public and private sectors working against coronavirus spread
  • Public transport (buses and taxis only). Metro and tram services canceled
