States get Rs 11,092 crore for coronary prevention work; Order of the Central Government

NEW DELHI: The government has decided to provide Rs 11,092 crore to the states for the prevention of coronavirus infection. The order comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurances that he would provide adequate funding for anti-corruption efforts. The States are funded under the State Disaster Management Fund.

The Home Ministry has stated that emergency aid is the first installment of the State Disaster Relief Management Fund for 2020-21. States are permitted to utilize funds for diagnosis and treatment along with corona operations.
