CARACAS (Sputnik) – Venezuela raised to seven the number of deaths from the new coronavirus, and to 153 the number of infections, reported President Nicol├ís Maduro.

“With much pain I have to report that between yesterday and today we had two deceased in Venezuela, which add to the global death toll of seven,” said the Head of State on radio and television.

The president detailed that seven new cases were registered in the country, detected in the states: Miranda (north), one; La Guaira (north), two; Barinas (west), one; Trujillo (west) two; Aragua (north), one.
Maduro indicated that among the people diagnosed by COVID-19 are citizens who had traveled to European and Latin American countries, while others were infected by family members who were also outside the country.

The president stated that at the moment there are 52 cases of people who recovered from the coronavirus; while 31 people are in home isolation.

“We have 30 cases attended in the Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), 20 in hospitals, 13 in private clinics, this is the part as of today, Friday April 3,” he said.
